Supervisor of the Quarter

Kevin McCollum, Crew Leader of Leisure Services, has been chosen as Supervisor of the Quarter.

Employee of the Month

Alf Cushing with Public Works, has been selected as Employee of the Month.

Firefighter of the Year

Troy Devoy has been selected as the Firefighter of the Year.

Notice

Members of the Lynn Haven City Commission will attend a meeting regarding ownership and maintenance of Davis Lake on September 2, 2010. The meeting will be held in the Commission Meeting Room at City Hall beginning at 10:00 a.m. Representatives from various state regulatory agencies have been invited to attend as well as homeowners surrounding Davis Lake. The public is invited to attend.

Winter Wonderland

Once again, it is time to prepare for the largest holiday Arts & Craft festival this side of the bridge! The 2010 Winter Wonderland Arts & Craft Show will be Saturday, December 11th from 9:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.

Beautiful Sharon Sheffield Park will be transformed into a perfect holiday shopping destination! Come experience the small town charm and enjoy the sounds, smells and sights of the season. Local choirs and dance schools will be performing all day!

The vendor deadline is Monday, November 29, 2010. Spaces may fill sooner.

General Employees’ Pension Board of Trustees Opening

There is currently one opening on the Lynn Haven General Employees’ Pension Board of Trustees that the City is accepting applications for. If you are interested in this board you can complete the application by following THIS LINK and submit it to City Hall.

Fall Youth Sport Registrations

August is a BIG month for sport registrations. Our youth Basketball and Fallball start in September so register in August to secure your spot!

We are conveniently accepting registrations August 2nd through the 27th at the Community Center during office hours 7:00 A.M. until 4:00 p.m. Monday -Friday and Sat. 8:00 -4:00 P.M. Check or cash only, Lynn Haven residents $40.00 and non-residents $49.00. All practices and games are played at the Community Center Gymnasium or Sports Complex (except some older divisions.).

CRA Logo Contest

The Lynn Haven Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is sponsoring a logo design and slogan contest to create a new “brand” for the CRA. The public is invited to submit logo designs and a slogan to be used as a vital element of the agency’s marketing efforts.

Submissions must be received by September 30, 2010.

Code Enforcement Board Opening

FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps

The new Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Flood Insurance Rate Maps for the City were adopted by the City Commission in June, 2009.
