Mission Statement

Development and Planning serves to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public; and to enhance the general quality of life through the interpretation and enforcement of the building code, as well as other regulations governing construction and land use. Reviews all development requests and assures compliance with City and State regulations. Schedules meeting of the Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment. Administers the Comprehensive Plan. Acts as the Lynn Haven Cemetery authority.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR RESIDENTS

One of the reasons Lynn Haven is recognized for its good floodplain management policies is that the City provides public information regarding flood hazards, flood insurance, and flood protection measures designed to correct existing deficiencies in flood-prone construction.
