Dear Fellow Citizens of Lynn Haven:
As the new Mayor of Lynn Haven, I am looking forward to meeting each of you in the coming weeks; I have many ideas to share with you, and I also look forward to listening to your ideas and concerns about our city government.
I am currently employed as a staff training specialist with Bay District Schools, and my husband Lee and I also own a music business, Anderson Productions, LLC.
I have a Bachelor's degree with majors in English and French from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master's degree in Language and Literature from Austin Peay State University, Clarksville, Tennessee. My work experiences include a Florida real estate license, owning my own business, teaching at the high school and college levels, technical writer and editor for a U.S. Army contractor, editor and publisher of a community newspaper, and five years as a flight attendant for Delta airlines.
I am married to Lee Anderson, who is retired and a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Navy; together, we have five children and thirteen grandchildren!
My family has lived in Lynn Haven since 1941 when my great- grandfather and grandparents moved here and built the home my husband and I now live in on the corner of Tennessee Avenue and 6th Street. My father, Louie W. Deal, now deceased, was a former Lynn Haven City Commissioner, and my mother, Geri Deal, lives next door to me at 511 Tennessee Avenue. My brother, Dr. Roy Deal, is the medical director of Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital in Panama City, and he also lives in Lynn Haven. I was born in Bay County, but traveled and lived in many parts of the United States as well as overseas because of my father's work with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. We moved back to Lynn Haven when he retired in 1985, and I have lived and worked here since that time, happy to return to my childhood home.
I am excited to begin serving as your Mayor, and I invite you to look at new possibilities for our community by regularly attending City Commission meetings and contacting me with your ideas and concerns. Contact me any time at 814-6001 or email@example.com. You may also reach me through the City of Lynn Haven email, firstname.lastname@example.org. I am committed to bringing the changes and improvements to Lynn Haven which I promised during my campaign; thank you for the opportunity to serve in our beautiful little bayside city.
Margo Deal Anderson
