Mission Statement

To provide protection and safety for our citizens by preparing and promoting fire prevention, preserving life, property and the environment through fire suppression, emergency first responder services, and hazardous material mitigation.

Operations

The Lynn Haven Fire Department operates out of 2 fire stations with 22 paid personnel. We have 3 fire engines and 1 ladder truck. The department provides fire protection and emergency medical aid to an area of approximately 11.78 square miles and a population of 18,493. 

Response Time

The average response time to all types of emergency calls is under 3 minutes. We are an Insurance Services Organization (ISO) Class 2 Department.

Potential Homeowners Insurance Savings

Recently, the Fire Department was notified that Insurance Services Organization (ISO) has raised the Public Protection Classification (PPC) rating for the department to a Class 2. The new rating will take effect on March 1, 2018. The new rating could potentially lower insurance premiums in Lynn Haven for property coverage.
