You are eligible for all health benefits if you are a full-time employee, and TeleMedicine if you are a Part-time employee. You may also enroll your eligible family members under certain plans you choose for yourself.
Eligible family members include:
- Your legally married spouse
- Your children who are your natural children, stepchildren, adopted children, or children for whom you have legal custody (age restrictions may apply). Disabled children age 26 or older who meet certain criteria may continue on your health coverage.
When Insurance Coverage Begins for New Hires: You are eligible for benefits the First day of the month following 30 days from your Date of Hire. Along with the following Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance, the city also offers an array of ancillary products for your election.
FSA $3,050.00 annually. FSA is a benefit provided by the city that lets you set aside a certain amount of your paycheck into an account before paying income taxes. Then during the year, you can use the funds in the account to pay for qualified expenses with the untaxed dollars. It is like an interest free loan and tax-free money.
